Do I need any sewing experience?
Not at all! The Learn to Sew – Summer Series was designed specifically for beginners. Each project introduces new skills one step at a time, helping you build confidence as you go.
What do I need to get started?
To complete your project, you'll need:

Is fabric included?
Yes! Each kit includes the fabric needed to complete the featured project. Some additional notions may be required depending on the project and are listed on the product page.
Are the fabric pieces pre-cut?
No. The fabric is not pre-cut, giving you the opportunity to learn an important sewing skill from the very beginning. Each kit includes cutting templates and layout guides to help you confidently prepare your fabric.
Can I buy just one project?
Absolutely! Each project is designed to stand on its own, so you can start with whichever one interests you most. Completing the projects in order will help you build your skills progressively, but it's not required.
How long does each project take?
Project times vary depending on your experience and sewing pace. Most beginners can complete a project over a weekend or by working on it over a few evenings.
Are the instructions beginner-friendly?
Yes! Every kit includes detailed, step-by-step instructions with clear guidance to help you succeed, even if it's your very first sewing project.
What if I make a mistake?
That's part of learning! Every sewist uses a seam ripper from time to time. The projects are designed to help you learn new skills, build confidence, and enjoy the process.
Are these projects suitable for kids?
The projects can be enjoyed by older children and teens with adult supervision, especially if they're new to sewing. Younger children may need additional help depending on the project.

Can I return my kit?
Because our kits include fabric, templates and instructions, they cannot be returned once they have been opened. If your order arrives damaged or there's a problem with your kit, please get in touch and we'll be happy to help.
